Meja Occitan Trail - MOT 38k 2023

La Valle Maira è una delle più belle vallate dell’arco alpino occidentale, ormai famosa a livello internazionale non solo per la sua bellezza, ma anche per l’ospitalità, l’offerta turistica sostenibile e le possibilità di attività outdoor che abbracciano tutte le stagioni dell’anno. Il Meja Occitan Trail è la gara che con l’edizione 2021 ha dato il via agli eventi MOT. È una gara di 38 km con 2100 m D+ e 2500 m D-. Parte da Chiappera all’ombra della famosa Rocca Castello e, dopo aver superato due colli, attraversa l’intero altopiano della Gardetta dominato dalla splendida Rocca la Meja, una delle montagne simbolo della Valle Maira. La tappa termina a Marmora, nota per la sua ospitalità. Il tempo massimo ammesso per concludere la gara è di 10 ore. A Marmora viene allestito il village che diventa il fulcro di tutti gli eventi Maira Occitan Trail con stand, esposizioni e intrattenimento.

Valle Maira is one of the most beautiful valleys in the western Alps, now internationally famous not only for its beauty, but also for its hospitality, sustainable tourist offer and the possibilities for outdoor activities that embrace all seasons of the year. The Meja Occitan Trail is the race that kicked off the MOT events with the 2021 edition. It is a 38 km race with 2100 m D+ and 2500 m D-. It starts from Chiappera in the shadow of the famous Rocca Castello and, after passing two hills, crosses the entire Gardetta plateau dominated by the splendid Rocca la Meja, one of the symbolic mountains of the Maira Valley. The stage ends in Marmora, known for its hospitality. The maximum time allowed to finish the race is 10 hours. The village is set up in Marmora and becomes the hub of all Maira Occitan Trail events with stands, exhibitions and entertainment.
