Rakiura Challenge 2024

A 32km trail race around the Rakiura Track - one of the most varied and diverse trails in New Zealand on the southern-most Great Walk. The Rakiura Track show-cases a unique environment that spans from one coast of Stewart Island to the other through dense forest to epic coast! Rakiura, the Māori name for Stewart Island, translates as ‘land of the glowing skies'. It is also home to lush native bush, spectacularly rugged coastlines, abundant bird and sea life, and one of New Zealand’s famous “Great Walks”.
